David Brown - President

Dave graduated from California State University Chico in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management.  He started his career working for a general engineering contractor, building roads, bridges, and cross country pipelines.  He came to R.L. Brown in 1999, and purchased the business in 2006.  He is Principal-in-Charge, and responsible for all facets of company operations. 

John Parker - Sr. Estimator / Project Manager

John holds over 35 years of experience in all phases of construction as a Senior Project Manager, Senior Estimator, Superintendent, as well as carpenter, and laborer.  At R.L. Brown, John is the Senior Estimator and Project Manager working closely with Project Managers and the Principal-In-Charge to accurately scope and budget construction projects in various market sectors. John's extensive experience in managing both new construction and renovation projects allows him to implement his expertise into the estimating phase to assure that clients are receiving an accurate budget as well as bringing awareness to possible unforeseen project requirements. 

Pat Frontin - Sr. Estimator / Project Manager

With over 25 years of construction experience, Pat began his career as a construction laborer, working his way through college as a journeyman carpenter, then moving into management and estimating.  Following a successful career in the heavy-civil sector, working for companies including Morrison-Knudsen and CH2MHill, he came to R. L. Brown in 2003. Pat is currently responsible for R.L. Brown's Sacramento and Tahoe area projects, and was the Senior Project Manager on our flagship LTVOR project, Pat also oversees estimating duties throughout the Bay Area and greater Northern-California areas. His uncompromised work ethic and unyielding dedication to quality, customer service, and excellence has been a key contributing factor in R. L. Brown's continued success.

Jim Bourque - Estimator / Project Manager

Jim has over 27 years of experience in construction, working as a Superintendent, Project Manager, and Estimator. He has managed projects in a wide range of industries, from commercial office tenant improvements, medical/dental, police and fire stations, to industrial buildings, and both private and public education facilities. He has successfully managed over $125 MM in new and renovation construction projects.

Eric Boeckman - Estimator / Project Manager

Eric brings 14 years of construction experience and a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University to work at R. L. Brown.  He has been a key player in R.L. Brown's major construction projects for the last 8 years and has a reputation for bringing his projects in on schedule and under budget, with an unending commitment of service to his projects and clients.

 

Janine Brown - Human Resources / Accounting

Janine is a Graduate of California State University Chico, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, and a Masters Degree in Computer Science.  In addition to handling all of the Human Resources and Accounting responsibilities, Janine also serves as the Corporate Secretary and Safety Officer.

Kim Parkinson - Administrative Assistant

Kim has over 17 years of administrative experience with a focus on accounting, contract administration and human resources.  She began her career in the construction industry working for an integrated services company specializing in high volume residential home building.  She has been with R.L. Brown since 2010, and assists with accounting and general office administration responsibilities.

 

Tony Vecchio - Superintendent

Tony has over 27 years of field construction experience as a carpenter, laborer, and Superintendent.  His years of hands on experience in the field, working specifically on multi-family homes, has assisted him in developing a fundamental understanding of the issues that plague wood framed structures  Tony also has extensive experinece working on commercial retail projects, where meeting deadlines and working around operational businesses is paramount to a project's success.  Tony holds excellent leadership skills that allow him to successfully manage teams of tradesmen and subcontractors in the field with a focus on completing projects on time and within budget.

 

Steve Reimers - Superintendent

Steve started his working career in the desktop publishing and printing trades eventually working his way to print production manager with an international magazine publisher.  After being laid off during the dot com crash a friend gave him the idea of getting into construction because he was constantly remodeling his own house. Steve completed his 4 year apprenticeship in Carpentry through Associated Builders and Contractors and then decided to continue his education at California State University East Bay Extended Education earning a certificate in Construction Management. He has 14 years in the construction industry and has been with R.L. Brown since 2014.

 

Ignacio Cambero - Superintendent

Ignacio joined the R.L. Brown Construction team in 2005. He has over 19 years of hands-on construction experience. He worked on every aspect of custom home building, as well as residential reconstruction projects. Ignacio loves being in the field, working with our tradesmen and subcontractors, to bring the highest level of quality to our clients. Before joining R.L. Brown, he gained extensive experience working as a carpenter on custom residential homes. Customers always appreciate his attention to detail and ability to see a vision of the completed project, even before it’s done.

 

Rob Van Dyk - Superintendent

Rob began his construction career in 2003 when he earned a 2-year landscape design and horticulture certificate from Niagara College in Ontario, Canada, and worked in the landscape industry for two years.  Rob moved to California in 2005 and began working as an apprentice carpenter with a custom homebuilder in the Bay Area. His hard work and experience advanced him through the ranks of apprentice carpenter, to journeyman carpenter, to crew foreman. Rob came to R.L. Brown Construction in 2013 where his experience and calm demeanor brought him instant success in running large commercial tenant improvement and multi-family residential reconstruction projects.

 

Trevor Powell - Superintendent

Trevor brings over 17 years of experience in the construction industry. As a youth he spent summers at his father’s company, framing custom homes throughout the Bay Area Peninsula. Trevor’s leadership skills, attention to detail, and work ethics, allow projects to move smoothly forward, so as to always remain on schedule, and within budgets. He believes in a hands on principal, and makes himself readily accessible to each and every part of the project. He takes personal accountability, and pride, in R.L. Brown Construction’s performance, and ultimately our client's satisfaction.
